On January 12, 2010 we learned that Haiti suffered a catastrophic earthquake, leaving much destruction and loss of life behind and that many children there were orphaned and homeless. Our friend, Sister Loretta Francis Mann was part of a mission team that traveled to Haiti to bring the mercy of God to its people. Among her many acts of mercy there, Sister Loretta rocked and cuddled orphaned children. In the safe refuge of her arms, her embrace brought the love of God to those children and through this simple act of compassion she has inspired us to be missionaries of God’s love and light right here at home. Sister’s example and an awareness of the many children who suffer , both abroad and right here in the United States, has called us to action!

In November 2010, we began our Cuddle and a Prayer Blankie Ministry ™. Through our ministry and the labor of our hands we create small fleece “blankies” (miniature blankets perfect for cuddling) to be distributed to children in need. It is our hope and prayer that these children will be comforted by the softness of our blankies, find joy in the bright, cheerful colors of the fabric, and know that we and God love them and that they will be lifted high in our prayers. To continue to answer God’s call, to serve these children in need, we need the support of our community. We need YOU...TODAY!

In addition to our own fundraising efforts, we rely on you, our “partners in ministry” and your generosity. With your support, we all become one team and the ministry grows beyond expectation allowing us to serve as many children in need as possible...truly the work of the Holy Spirit!
