| For new parents, this annual event brings together a variety of
area retailers, specialty shops and boutiques and showcases them in
one arena, to create a “mini shopping mall” for shoppers to enjoy.
There will be something for everyone, from toys and books, to
women’s clothing and accessories, sporting goods, gourmet foods,
holiday decorations, home décor and the like. This is the one event
that our school has that 100% of the profits are used to fund one or
more of the school’s current capital projects, all designed to
improve the educational experience of St. Mary students. The funds
raised from our previous SHOPS on the AVENUE events allowed us to
make substantial improvements to the school library, as well as a
sizeable contribution toward the science lab capital fund. Our
ability to finance these capital projects is totally dependent upon
the success of our event, and our success rests on our volunteers.
Please consider joining our team—we may work hard but we have a lot
of fun doing it! Here is a listing of the committees that make up
this event:
